I have had the opportunity to coach and help Evan with his development and understanding of the game for the past 2 years.  Evan was my starting point / shooting guard and a key part of our offense and defense this year. Evan has a very good knock down shot from the 3-point line and has made great improvements with his ball handling when attacking the rim. Evan is a coachable kid that is growing and asking many questions to become a better basketball player. Evan is very open to accepting new challenges on the court, and was not afraid of stepping up to take a leadership role as a point guard this past year. Teaching him this season on doing more for his team, offensively and defensively was the challenge provided to him, he accepted it and always put in the work to become better on the court. Evan was one of the first kids to enter the gym ahead of practice, and puts in extra work at home to develop his game. Evan has great potential, and I know there is much more to come from Evan and I am very excited and humbled to be his coach.

A few things that set Evan apart from his peers in my observation are as follows: His dedication to his craft - he is always working on his game, whether it be getting shots up before, during and after practice, conditioning, ball handling and running the offence. Evan has laser focus and is always at practice ready to work. Evan is an exceptional shooter and is one of the team's best threats from 3-point range as well as his mid-range game. He is also a very consistent free throw shooter. Evan has great ball handling skills and has no problem running the offence as a point guard or contributing as a shooting guard – he is very versatile. Where he is exceptionally dangerous is playing off the ball. Other teams have to account for him when they are defending. If Evan is left unguarded more often than not, he will hit any shot he takes. Evan's maturity is well beyond his age and his work ethic is second to none. Evan is a great teammate and leads by example on and off the court. It has been such a blessing having him in our program, and I would highly recommend Evan to any College coach.
